Colt Creek State Park

Colt Creek State Park encompasses over 5,000 acres of native Central Florida habitat, providing an opportunity to learn about the natural communities and wildlife that make our park unique. More than 15 miles of multi-use trails meander through the pine flatwoods, natural creeks, and wetlands, and are shared by hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders. Park lakes provide views of wading birds and alligators, as well as a location for anglers to cast their lines from the lake’s edge or from our 75-foot accessible dock. Canoes and kayaks can be rented at the ranger station. We provide a variety of camping options, including primitive campsites, an equestrian campground, and a group campground. Pavilions are available on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved ahead of time. Our pavilions are ideal for family reunions, birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, and a variety of other gatherings in an open-air setting. Restrooms, lakes, and trails are all nearby pavilions. We provide a variety of educational interpretive programmes, such as ranger-led hikes, tram tours, and special events.
