McGee Creek State Park Camping
McGee Creek State Park offers year-round camping. The Buster Hight Area has paved camping areas with water and electricity, a four-lane boat ramp, a courtesy dock, comfort stations with showers, a dump station, a fishing pier, a playground, and a swim beach. The Potapo Area includes a two-lane boat ramp, paved RV sites with water and electricity, a comfort station with showers, and other amenities. There are also over 200 primitive camping spots spread across the two areas. In addition to the Potapo Campground, McGee Creek State Park has eight lake huts. These 12-foot-by-24-foot rustic huts have a back porch with a view of the lake, bunk beds, a fireplace, and air conditioning. There are no linens provided. Water and barbecue grills are located outside each hut.

Fishing
Cast your cares away on McGee Creek Lake in a boat! One of Oklahoma’s most beautiful lakes, it’s also one of the best fishing spots in the state. Spend the afternoon in paradise catching Crappie, Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, and Channel Catfish. Swimming
After swimming in McGee Creek Lake, you’ll want to tell your friends about it! This beautiful, secluded swim area has 64 miles of shoreline and is quiet and peaceful, making it ideal for beach activities. Swimming is encouraged during the summer but do so at your own risk because there are no lifeguards on duty.
Hunting
Come and experience this sport surrounded by scenic and dense forest, a hunter’s delight. Hunters will find a variety of animals in the over 10,000-acre McGee Creek State Park, which is mostly forest, including white-tailed deer, dove, quail, Cottontail rabbit, squirrel, and Eastern wild turkey. Parking
When you arrive in your RV at McGee State Park, camping is a breeze! Traveling on the park grounds is a wonderful experience, thanks to well-maintained roads and cement pads at the camping areas. The Buster Heights Campground has two handicapped RV sites, a comfort station, and a picnic shelter with handicapped parking. Potapo Campground in the park has one accessible RV site and an accessible restroom.McGee State Park is spread out over many acres of land, so you may need to move your vehicle to access certain trails or amenities. Do you intend to bring your golf cart to use during your stay? They are permitted in the park, but a permit is required, which can be obtained at the park’s main office. If you plan to camp at Potapo Landing Campground, keep in mind that the road leading to the campground is only one way.
