The Pali Highway across the Ko’olau Range is the most direct route from Honolulu to He’eia State Park. Turn left onto the Kamehameha Highway on the other side of the mountains (Highway 83). This highway will pass through Kaneohe before merging with Highway 830. Simply stay on this road until it begins to parallel Kane’ohe Bay and eventually leads to He’eia State Park.
Parking
He’eia State Park has a large parking lot that can get quite crowded on weekends, especially when events are held there. However, every time I visited the park, I was able to find parking.
