Introduction of Harrisville State Park
Along the sand-covered shores of Lake Huron, Harrisville State Park has a day-use area, a campground, some of which have 50 amp service, and a stand of pine and cedar trees. pet-friendly beachfront. safety at Great Lakes beaches.
It is one of Michigan’s earliest state parks and dates back to 1921. In addition, this 107-acre park’s picnic area and pavilion, two miles of unpaved cross-country paths, a metal detecting area, and a bicycle rental programme are all available. The trail is a three-quarter mile, paved multi-use path that leaves the park and joins the rest of the path that leads into Harrisville.

Camping
Some campgrounds offer 50 amp service, a small lodge, modern facilities, and electrical power for some of the campsites.
Hiking
Two miles of woodland terrain make up the Cedar Run Nature Trail.
Bicycling
There is a programme for renting bicycles, and biking is authorised.

Harrisville State Park History
Following the establishment of the Michigan State Parks Commission a year earlier, Harrisville State Park was one of the 13 parks that were founded in 1920. It used to be just six acres (2.4 ha). The park’s Cedar Run Nature Trail was first carved through its wooded regions in 1945.
