Cattail Cove State Park Camping

Pack your belongings and head to Cattail Cove State Park to stay in one of the 61 RV campsites. This well-planned campground offers plenty of space between sites, as well as electric and water hookups, a fire ring, and a picnic table. Reservations are strongly recommended but not required because sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis if not reserved.

Weekend camping requires a two-night minimum stay from April to September, as you must stay both Friday and Saturday nights.

There is a three-night minimum stay for the holiday weekends of Memorial, Labor, and Columbus, and you must reserve Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for those dates.

The campground has a dump station and a bathhouse with showers and flush toilets. Many of the campsites are shaded, making them ideal for a campfire under the stars. Because the park is 90% dirt and gravel, bring sturdy shoes to wear around your campsite. The campground provides camp hosts to assist in keeping the campgrounds in good condition for all visitors to enjoy. Cattail Cove State Park Activities

Fishing

Cast your worries away while fishing for largemouth and striped bass, flathead catfish, bluegill, and crappie on Lake Havasu. Get out on the water in your boat and enjoy the majestic, scenic view of the water. This is a great way to relax and catch your breath for anglers of all ages over the age of ten. The park has a fish cleaning station, which makes preparing lunch or dinner a breeze!

Swim

Catch some rays at Cattail Cove State Park, which has a designated swimming area next to the park’s beautiful white sand beach. Swimming is only permitted along the shoreline, but be aware that the lake’s bottom is rocky, so bring your water shoes to protect your feet. Swim at your own risk because there are no lifeguards on duty at Lake Havasu, and avoid swimming near boat ramps or docks.

Dog Beach

Cattail Cove State Park welcomes dogs! The park has its own dedicated beach where our four-legged friends can play in the sand, soak up the sun, and cool off in the designated swimming area. This rocky beach is located directly off the boat dock, so bring your river shoes. A great place to meet other pet lovers at the campground, bring your dog toys for a fun afternoon with man’s best friend.

Arizona’s Wildlife

While camping in your RV, you can explore and observe Arizona’s magnificent wildlife. The hot, dry, sunny climate of the area attracts species that you don’t want to miss. View Snowy Plover, Gambel’s Quail, Sandpiper, Belted Kingfisher, Mallard Ducks, and hummingbirds as you walk the trails or along the lakeside. Capture larger animals like bighorn sheep, bobcats, and coyotes with your camera. Because of the wildlife, if you’re travelling with pets, keep them inside the camper at night.

Cattail Cove State Park Location

Travel to Cattail Cove State Park in your RV camper! This is a lovely state park near Lake Havasu City, and the short drive is well worth it. Cattail Cove State Park is located in southern Mohave County, just off Arizona State Route 95. The park is approximately 19 miles from Lake Havasu City and approximately 8 miles from Parker Strip. Prepare to be wowed by the facilities, ambiance, and staff. If you’re driving to Los Angeles, this is a great place to stop in your RV!

Parking

When you arrive at Cattail Cove State Park, you will be charged an entrance fee in addition to your reservation fee. Previous campers rave about the park staff and how helpful they are to visitors, so stop by the Visitors Center on your way in. Pull-through and back-in campsites are available at the state park. As you walk through the park, you’ll notice that the employees take pride in their home away from home. This fantastic state park has something for everyone. A large parking lot is located near the boat launch for day visitors.
