Introduction of Long Point State Park
The isolated location of Long Point State Park makes for a tranquil, relaxed camping trip. The park, which is tiny and nearly entirely surrounded by water, is located on a peninsula overlooking Chaumont Bay in Lake Ontario. It offers stunning views from all parts of the park. The majority of campsites are open, grassy spaces with a few solitary trees, a playground, and picnic places. Lake Ontario offers great boating and fishing options, while the bay gives a safe berth for vessels. The park stays cool and bug-free thanks to the constant lake breezes.

Boating
Boat rentals, docking spaces for powerboats and non-motorized watercraft, and a boat launch are all available to park visitors at Long Point – Thousand Island State Park.
Fishing
Anglers love the picturesque spot because Chaumont Bay’s quiet water is ideal for placing a line.
Hunting
In-season waterfowl hunting is allowed.
Picnicking
Public access to a children’s playground and shelters with tables and grills is provided at the picnic spot. From early May to Columbus Day, the park is open. Picnic spots do not allow pets.
RVing
With reservations, a number of tent and trailer sites are available. There are showers, a playground, a trash station, and a camper help programme among the park’s amenities.
