Introduction of Paris Mountain State Park

The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed 16 state parks in South Carolina during the Great Depression in the 1930s, including the 1540-acre Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville County. Today, visitors from near and far converge on this State Park to take advantage of the restored historic bathhouse, which now acts as the centre of activities at this well-liked hideaway. The mountainous park, which was formerly utilised by visitors as a rural refuge, is today a well-liked natural area in the rapidly expanding Greenville region. People from all walks of life come here to enjoy the outdoors. The park is always busy with cyclists, hikers, picnickers, and groups utilising Camp Buckhorn. The best season for fishing and swimming in the park lakes is during the summer. Make the Paris Mountain State Park your next travel destination whether you want to enjoy the water or the scorching summer heat!

Pets are permitted in the park but not in any cabins, structures, or other housing spaces. They are OK on trails and in most outdoor spaces as long as you keep them on a leash.

Transportation

Driving

The “Upcountry” South Carolina region of Greenville County is home to Paris Mountain State Park. It is easily reachable via highways 25, 29, and 276 because to its close proximity to the city of Greenville. RVers may take advantage of this close location to Greenville, which is only nine miles away, to restock on groceries and other essentials during their stay at the site. The park is accessible from Greenville through well-marked, roomy roads.

When driving a big rig through the park, use caution as some of the roads can be narrow and winding because they are bordered by dense woods once you enter the park. After that, you may park your vehicle or go on foot, by bicycle, or in your car to explore the park.

Parking

The park is divided into six main, clearly signposted parking sections. Parking your RV shouldn’t be an issue, however it can become a little hectic during the peak season.
